This cycle, the GOP has been pushing anti-immigrant themes to energize their base, and it’s notably top of mind for them but not for the majority of voters. Poll after poll after poll after poll… it’s clear most voters want Congress to act on a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, farm workers and other immigrants in America.

The Winning Jobs Narrative (WJN) Project released the results of a new message test where the WJN architecture was employed to frame immigration. In case you may have missed our earlier piece, the WJN Project provides a “blueprint for successful messaging on issues relating to jobs and the economy.”

Tests conducted this month by BlueLabs Analytics and Swayable, respectively, found that exposing Republican candidates’ extreme, anti-immigrant actions and rhetoric can successfully shut their opponent down and win favorability among critical blocs of voters.

The Republican Party has been repeatedly telling the media and Democrats that immigration and the border are their midterm messaging weapon of choice. And we’ve been telling you, believe them AND respond.
